Job summary

AirTrunk is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to lead its global electrical engineering discipline from North Sydney. You will manage a team of SMEs across design, delivery and commissioning, shaping standards and governing critical electrical decisions.

You will own OSE specifications, drive value engineering, and ensure safety, resilience and lifecycle performance across AirTrunk's hyperscale projects. Travel to regional sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field.
• Chartered or Professional Engineer status or equivalent is preferred.
• Strong experience with mission-critical electrical systems in data centres or high-availability environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical SME team with clear objectives and succession planning.
• Set electrical technical direction across LV distribution, standby generation, UPS, earthing and protection.
• Review designs to ensure alignment with AirTrunk standards and project requirements.
• Own and approve electrical engineering standards and OSE specifications; manage change control and adoption.
• Occasionally travel to support critical reviews and engage with regional teams.
