Job summary

Airservices Australia is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead design, delivery and commissioning of critical mechanical infrastructure for national operations. You will mentor engineers, review drawings, and ensure safety, reliability and compliance across projects such as fire stations, control towers and air traffic service centres.

You bring 10+ years in building services, a Mechanical Engineering degree, and state registration.

Qualifications

• 10+ years’ experience in mechanical building services engineering.
• State registration or ability to obtain registration.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, ventilation, heating and BMS systems.
• Experience in testing, commissioning and deployment of mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead medium to major mechanical building services projects from concept design to construction.
• Discipline lead for mechanical engineering outcomes across projects.
• Review concept, schematic and detailed designs with external consultants.
• Contribute to design reviews and provide feedback to Airservices.
• Support planning to meet scope, budget and program requirements.
• Communicate status, risks and dependencies to senior management.
• Conduct construction inspections for design compliance.
• Attend testing activities including site acceptance and user acceptance tests.
• Build a strong engineering culture through learning and mentoring.
