Airservices Australia is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to support the design, construction, and refurbishment of critical aviation facilities. You will contribute mechanical expertise to Fire Stations, Control Towers, and Air Traffic Service Centres, working within a collaborative project engineering team.

The role involves coordinating with external designers, attending witness testing, and ensuring safety, reliability, and compliance across the project lifecycle.

Competenze

• 5+ years’ experience in mechanical building services engineering.
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
• State-based engineering registration, or ability to obtain registration.
• Strong design knowledge across HVAC, ventilation, heating, and associated systems.
• Familiarity with mechanical plant including air compressors, generators, fuel systems, and Building Management Systems (BMS).
• Familiarity across high reliability sectors including data centres, defence, and healthcare.
• Working knowledge of the BCA, NCC, and relevant Australian Standards.
• Experience preparing and reviewing mechanical designs, technical specifications, and engineering documentation.
• Experience in testing, commissioning, and deployment of mechanical systems.

Mansioni

• Provide design input and oversight from concept through construction, testing, and commissioning.
• Review concepts, schematic, and detailed designs with external consultants.
• Coordinate with project managers to meet scope, budget, and program constraints.
• Support senior management with project status, risks and dependencies.
• Undertake inspections to ensure compliance with design and build requirements.
• Participate in site testing, acceptance tests, and commissioning activities.
