Job summary

West Recruitment is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer for a building services consultancy, based in Parramatta, Sydney. This permanent, full-time role leads design and delivery of mechanical building services projects while mentoring junior engineers and guiding future growth of the division.

You will manage client relationships, review designs for Australian standards compliance, and collaborate with internal teams. The position offers autonomy with a strong on-site focus.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Engineer within building services consulting.
• Strong knowledge of Australian standards and mechanical design principles.
• Experience across commercial, residential, healthcare, education, or mixed-use projects.
• Ability to work autonomously while mentoring junior staff.
• Registration or the ability to sign off designs will be highly regarded.

With an established team structure already on board and plans to grow significantly over the coming years, the business is entering an exciting phase of expansion. As part of this expansion includes the opportunity to bring a Senior Mechanical Engineer into the team.

About Your New Role

As the Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will play a critical leadership role within the business, you will lead projects, manage clients, mentor junior engineers and help shape the future growth of the mechanical division. This is a permanent, full time role based in an office in Paramatta.
