Job summary

Ivory Group is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the development of innovative HVAC solutions from concept to completion. You will work with a skilled team to deliver high-quality projects while ensuring compliance with industry standards and codes.

As part of a collaborative consultancy, you will mentor junior engineers and engage with clients and stakeholders to translate requirements into practical, reliable engineering outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• CPEng qualification preferred or actively pursued.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to mentor engineers.
• Experience engaging with clients and stakeholders to translate requirements into solutions.
• Strong technical problem-solving skills and ability to deliver projects efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage building services projects from concept through to completion.
• Perform design reviews and quality checks for code compliance and project standards.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, architects and other stakeholders.
• Identify and resolve complex technical and design challenges throughout the project lifecycle.
• Assist with planning, technical reporting, and delivery within timeframes and budget; mentor junior engineers.

ABOUT THE POSITION.

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will play a key role in the delivery of a diverse portfolio of projects. Working alongside a skilled and dedicated team, you will lead the development of innovative HVAC solutions from concept to completion. Your expertise will be essential in tackling complex engineering challenges, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and delivering high-quality projects.

DUTIES.

• Lead and manage building services projects from concept through to completion
• Perform design reviews and quality checks to ensure accuracy, compliance and consistency with relevant codes, standards and project requirements
• Coordinate effectively with clients, contractors, architects, consultants and other project stakeholders
• Identify and resolve complex technical and design challenges throughout the project lifecycle
• Assist with project planning, technical reporting, documentation and delivery to agreed timeframes and budget
• Provide technical leadership, guidance and mentorship to junior and developing engineers

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent qualification
• CPEng qualification, or actively working towards CPEng, is preferred
• Emerging leader with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to mentor and support junior engineers
• Demonstrated experience engaging with clients and stakeholders, applying sound technical knowledge to understand requirements and deliver practical engineering solutions
• Strong technical problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering projects efficiently and to a high standard
