Job summary

Roc Consulting is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join a well‑established mechanical services team delivering commercial HVAC projects across New South Wales. You will lead design and documentation, produce and review drawings and specs, and collaborate with project managers, draftspersons and contractors throughout design and delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience as Mechanical Design Engineer in commercial HVAC or mechanical services.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, hydraulics and mechanical design.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit or similar software.
• Solid understanding of Australian Standards and compliance requirements.
• Excellent attention to detail with ability to manage deadlines.
• Strong communication across project teams.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

To be considered it is vital that you have the following:

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer within commercial HVAC or mechanical services
• Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems, hydraulics and mechanical services design
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit or similar design software
• Experience producing and reviewing engineering drawings and technical documentation
• Solid understanding of Australian Standards and relevant compliance requirements
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage competing project deadlines
• Strong communication skills, comfortable liaising across all levels of a project team
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
