Job summary

West Recruitment is recruiting a Senior Mechanical Engineer for our Newcastle, NSW office to design HVAC systems and lead value-engineered solutions. You will work with clients, architects, builders and other engineers to deliver practical HVAC schemes and detailed Revit designs.

The role requires strong HVAC knowledge, 5+ years’ experience, and the ability to collaborate while delivering high-quality documentation and reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Minimum 5+ years’ experience in HVAC design and engineering.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, design principles and industry standards.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and other Autodesk products.
• Registered design practitioner status or progress towards registration is advantageous.
• Ability to work autonomously while contributing to a collaborative team.
• Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

As part of their continued growth they have the opportunity to add an additional mechanical engineer in a permanent, full time position.

This role will be based our of their Newcastle office.

About your new role

To be successful in this position, you will have:

• A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5+ years experience in HVAC design and engineering.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, design principles and relevant industry standards.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and other relevant Autodesk products.
• Existing registered design practitioner status or an interest in progressing towards being registered is advantageous.
• The ability to work autonomously while contributing effectively to a collaborative team.
• Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
