Job summary

Kmart Group in Melbourne, Australia, seeks a Senior Martech Manager on a fixed term contract to lead strategy, integration and governance of marketing technology with Braze at the center of our customer engagement platform.

You’ll partner with Marketing, Loyalty, Digital, Product, Data and Security teams to shape scalable data flows, platform design and governance across Tealium, Snowflake, Branch.io, Contentful and Bynder.

Qualifications

• 7+ years’ experience leading enterprise marketing technology, customer engagement, CRM or digital platform capabilities.
• Deep hands-on and strategic experience with Braze, including platform set-up, integration, governance, journey design and optimisation.
• Strong knowledge of Tealium, Snowflake, Branch.io, Contentful and Bynder, or comparable enterprise platforms.
• Experience integrating customer engagement platforms with customer data platforms, cloud data platforms, mobile attribution, content management and digital asset management systems.
• Strong technical understanding of APIs, event streaming, systems integration, customer data platforms, identity, consent and audience management.
• Experience translating customer and marketing requirements into scalable technical architecture, delivery backlogs and operating processes.
• Proven ability to influence and partner with Marketing, Product, Engineering, Data, Architecture, Privacy, Security and senior leadership teams.
• Strong commercial judgement and experience managing technology vendors, implementation partners, contracts, service levels, risks and commercial outcomes.
• Experience within retail, loyalty, e-commerce, mobile app engagement or high-volume customer communications, with a strong understanding of privacy and consent.
• A relevant degree in Marketing Technology, Information Technology, Computer Science, Data, Digital or a related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Lead the strategy, integration, governance and ongoing evolution of our marketing technology capabilities, with Braze at the heart of our customer engagement platform.
• Act as the strategic and technical owner of Braze, overseeing platform configuration, integrations, data structures, events and attributes, journey architecture, segmentation standards and platform health.
• In partnership with relevant squads, lead the integration of Braze across our broader technology ecosystem, including Tealium, Snowflake, Branch.io, Contentful and Bynder, alongside internal customer, transaction, loyalty and digital services.
• Define scalable data flows, event standards, identity resolution and consent controls while ensuring appropriate monitoring and technical documentation.
• Translate customer and marketing needs into scalable technical solutions and prioritised delivery plans.
• Establish strong governance, design standards, release processes and operating rhythms across our Martech ecosystem.
• Build capability across marketing and delivery teams through playbooks, training and reusable patterns.
• Partner closely with Marketing, Loyalty, Digital, Product, Data, Technology, Architecture, Privacy and Security teams.
• Manage technology vendors and implementation partners, including service levels, costs, risks and continuous improvement opportunities.
