Staffpower is seeking a Business Development Manager for a manufacturing-focused role. The successful candidate will open doors, start conversations and turn problems into commercial opportunities across Laser, Engineering and Materials Handling sectors.

You will travel to facilities, identify bottlenecks, and develop tailored solutions with internal teams. The role emphasizes proactive market expansion, building a strong sales pipeline and delivering profitable work.

Qualifications

• Proven experience winning new B2B and B2C business.
• Experience selling into manufacturing, engineering or industrial services.
• Cold calling and approaching businesses with no existing relationship.

Responsibilities

• Proactively identify and approach new customers and markets.
• Generate opportunities through calls, site visits, referrals, networking and research.
• Build and manage a genuine sales pipeline from first contact through to purchase order.
• Visit manufacturing facilities and understand floor operations.
• Develop relationships with engineers, production managers and procurement.
