Senior Manager - Risk, Governance & Remediation

Genuine Flexibility + Excellent Benefits

Shape how Hollard embeds its risk culture through a newly created leadership role

Lead enterprise-wide risk uplift, working with Leadership Teams and Line 2

Opportunity to work with one of Australia's largest general insurers

About Hollard

Hollard Insurance is part of the Hollard Group of Companies and a top 5 General Insurer in Australia and New Zealand. We underwrite a broad range of general insurance products, including motor, home, contents, business, bicycle and pet, in proud partnership with some of Australia's biggest consumer brands and broker businesses. As an independent and privately owned company, we believe we can go further together – for our people, customers, communities and partners – through an innovative approach to providing insurance.

Our state-of-the-art facilities in North Sydney reflect our commitment to providing innovative workspaces that support hybrid and remote work.

About the Role

Hollard's Risk and Control Advisory (RCA) team partners with our Line 1 business functions to embed enterprise risk frameworks into everyday operations. This is a newly created role in the RCA Leadership team, reporting to the Head of Optimisation.

You'll own the delivery of RCA's components of our multi-year Risk Culture Action Plan (RCAP), with quarterly deliverables through 2027, and make sure the framework is embedded into how the business manages risk rather than delivered as one-off outputs. You'll also lead RCA governance, data and reporting, and our customer remediation capability.

Key Responsibilities

Own the RCAP framework and RCA-owned activities, delivering quarterly outcomes that strengthen risk culture and risk practices across Hollard

Partner with Line 1 functions, Line 2 Risk and Compliance and business stakeholders to embed risk culture, methodologies and tools

Lead and develop your team and any external delivery partners, ensuring quality, value for money and knowledge transfer

Own RCA's governance and reporting rhythm, including the Executive Non-Financial Risk Committee and, where required, the Board Risk Committee

Build out our customer remediation capability, consistent with ASIC RG 277, so affected customers are remediated in a timely, fair and compliant way

About You

Line 1 risk experience with strong governance exposure, or Line 2 experience hands‑on setting risk frameworks

Strong regulatory knowledge, including APRA CPS 220 and CPS 230, and risk culture and risk maturity frameworks

Proven track record leading enterprise-wide risk programs from design through to embedment

Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams, with the credibility to influence executives and board committees

Strong planning, analytical and communication skills, and a customer‑centred mindset. General insurance experience and remediation experience are highly regarded
