Job summary

Hollard Insurance invites applications for a Risk in Change Manager on a 12-month max term contract. The role supports Hollard’s evolving Risk in Change approach and collaborates with project teams to assess risks and obligations across the lifecycle.

You will lead assessments, develop mitigation options and coach stakeholders, while integrating risk activities into governance forums. Hybrid/remote options available within Australia.

Qualifications

• Experience in operational/non-financial risk and Risk in Change, preferably within regulated financial services or insurance.
• Strong understanding of operational risk management, including risk/obligations, controls/
• Ability to engage, influence and constructively challenge senior stakeholders.
• Facilitate quarterly risk forums and complete BAU control testing independently.
• Tertiary qualifications in Business, Economics, Finance, Risk Management or Law are desirable.

Your Team

The Line 1 Risk and Control Advisory team partners with the business to support effective risk management and informed decision-making. The team provides practical risk advice and challenge across business activities and change, helping accountable owners identify, assess and manage risks, controls and obligations.

About the Role

This role reports to the Senior Manager, Business Risk Advisory and provides specialist Risk in Change expertise to support the implementation and embedding of Hollard’s evolving Risk in Change approach. You will work closely with project teams, business owners, risk owners and relevant risk specialists to facilitate high-quality assessments across the project lifecycle.

Your duties and responsibilities

Lead and facilitate Risk in Change assessments across relevant initiatives, identifying change,risks and obligations and assessing their potential business and customer impacts.

Develop practical risk mitigation recommendations that inform project scope, design, testing, implementation readiness and transition to BAU.

Build capability through coaching, guidance and hands-on support for Line 1 Risk, project and business stakeholders

Support implementation and continuous improvement of the Risk in Change methodology, tools, templates and guidance, with a focus on practical and consistent application

Partner with business, project, Line 1, and Line 3 stakeholders to integrate Risk in Change activities into existing project governance and decision-making forums.

About You

Experience in operational/non-financial risk and Risk in Change, preferably within regulated financial services or insurance.

Strong understanding of operational risk management, including risk/obligations, controls/

Confidence to engage, influence and constructively challenge senior stakeholders

Ability to facilitate quarterly risk forums and complete BAU control testing independently

Tertiary qualifications in Business, Economics, Finance, Risk Management or Law are desirable

Strong control mindset, including understanding of operational controls, reconciliations, approvals, segregation of duties, manual processes, issue management, remediation actions and control ownership
