Job summary

Westpac is seeking a Senior Manager, Reporting in Sydney to lead trusted, decision-ready reporting by connecting to enterprise datasets. You will drive Power BI-led insights, engage stakeholders, and uplift through automation and AI capabilities.

You will mentor a reporting team, manage demand and priorities, and ensure governance, metrics consistency, and data quality across the function. This role emphasizes collaboration with senior leaders and a strong data governance mindset.

Qualifications

Strong Power BI capability with experience connecting to shared datasets and semantic models.
Excellent stakeholder engagement skills.
Exposure to AI-enabled analytics or willingness to learn agentic AI concepts.

Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality reporting and insights using governed data sources.
Translate business questions into dashboards, analysis, and executive narratives.
Lead Power BI reporting standards, design practices, and publishing governance.
Act as the primary reporting partner to senior stakeholders and leadership teams.
Explore and apply AI-assisted reporting (e.g., Co-pilot, automated insights, NLQ).
Lead and develop a reporting team; manage demand and prioritisation.
Ensure metric consistency, transparency, and compliance with data governance standards.
