Job summary

Westpac Group in Sydney seeks a Senior Manager, Business Controls and Monitoring to support the Chief Data and Analytics Office. You will embed risk frameworks, policies and controls while enabling effective monitoring, reporting and governance across the business.

You'll partner with Line 1 and Line 2 stakeholders, perform root-cause analysis, support remediation, and contribute to governance of transformation initiatives within CDAO and the Shared Data and AI Delivery Unit.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of risk management, controls and monitoring across data and technology.
• Experience with privacy risk, incidents, issues and control testing.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and build cross-team relationships.
• Analytical mindset with root-cause analysis and remediation skills.
• Clear written reporting for governance forums and senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Embed risk frameworks, policies and controls with the CDAO and Shared Data and AI Delivery Unit.
• Monitor, report and govern risk across the business and transformation initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen risk practices and drive remediation.
• Prepare insights for risk committees and governance forums and maintain risk profiles.
