Job summary

ElectraNet is seeking a Manager Network Outages & Access in Adelaide to lead outage planning, switching coordination and asset access. You will guide a specialist team, balance network security with customer needs, and ensure governance across switching procedures and licensing.

You will bring HV switching expertise, strategic advisory capability, and strong leadership to deliver safe, reliable transmission network operations.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in a technical, management field or equivalent electricity industry experience.
• Proven people leadership skills, including coaching and development.
• Experience providing strategic and operational advice on network outage planning and coordination.
• Extensive experience in HV electrical switching, including maintenance or project delivery.
• Deep knowledge of HV power systems operation, equipment, switching governance and licensing requirements.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to balance priorities and escalate issues when needed.
• Sound financial acumen and experience managing resources and risk.

Responsibilities

• Lead a specialist team for integrated outage planning, switching coordination and asset access.
• Oversee short- and long-term outage plans balancing network security and customer impacts.
• Provide leadership across System Switching Request, Switching Manual and asset governance.
• Collaborate with customers, AEMO, contractors and internal teams to resolve conflicting priorities.
• Coach and develop team members and foster a high-performing, inclusive culture.
• Ensure regulatory obligations and governance standards are maintained.
