Job summary

ElectraNet in Adelaide is seeking a Manager Network Outages & Access to lead a specialist team ensuring the safe and reliable operation of South Australia’s transmission network.

You will oversee outage planning, switching coordination, and asset access, collaborating with customers, AEMO and contractors to resolve competing priorities and manage risk. Lead governance, training, and continuous improvement across outage activities.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in a technical, management or related field.
• Proven people leadership experience leading teams through change.
• Experience providing strategic and operational advice on network outage planning and coordination.
• Extensive HV electrical switching experience with related project delivery exposure.
• Detailed knowledge of HV power system operation, control and equipment.
• Strong understanding of switching and asset access governance, legislation and codes.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement, negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to balance priorities, challenge approaches and make timely decisions.
• Sound financial acumen and experience with budgeting and resource management.

Responsibilities

• Lead a specialist team for integrated network outage planning, switching coordination and asset access.
• Oversee short- and long‑term outage plans balancing network security, customer impact, maintenance and project delivery.
• Provide leadership across System Switching Request, Switching Manual and asset governance processes.
• Ensure risk is managed, issues escalated and continuous improvement pursued in outage planning and asset access.
• Coach and develop team members; foster an inclusive, high‑performing culture.
