ElectraNet is seeking an Experienced/Senior Substation Engineer to support delivery and ongoing performance of South Australia’s HV transmission network. Based in Adelaide, you’ll contribute across the full lifecycle from concept through design to installation and maintenance, collaborating with asset management and delivery partners.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years' experience with full lifecycle of HV transmission networks including substation primary systems.
• Bachelor-level degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience in substation primary design, high-voltage plant, installation, commissioning or testing.
• Knowledge of substation layouts, earthing, insulation coordination and primary concepts.
• Familiarity with Australian and IEC standards and electricity industry requirements.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and review engineering scopes, concept and detailed designs, technical investigations, tender assessments and contract specifications.
• Provide specialist engineering support across the lifecycle of substation primary and infrastructure systems.
• Ensure HV plant integrates with substation design.
• Develop and improve functional requirements, design philosophies and engineering standards.
• Ensure designs meet safety, reliability, and ElectraNet requirements.
• Contribute to safety in design across projects and operations.
• Provide technical and field support for capital projects.
• Apply lessons from completed projects to improve performance.
• Communicate complex technical information clearly to customers and stakeholders.
