Job summary

You will oversee short- and long-term outage plans, balancing network security with customer and market impacts, maintenance and delivery requirements, while ensuring governance, licensing and training standards are met. A strong leadership track record is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams in HV power system operations and switching.
• Strong knowledge of network outage planning and coordination.
• Sound understanding of industry rules, codes and licensing.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Financial acumen with experience managing resources and budgets.
• Ability to balance competing priorities and make risk-informed decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead outage planning, switching coordination and asset access oversight.
• Oversee short- and long-term outage plans balancing security, customer, and market needs.
• Provide guidance on System Switching Requests and governance procedures.
• Collaborate with customers, AEMO, contractors and internal teams to resolve conflicts.
• Coach and develop the Network Outages team and foster an inclusive culture.
• Drive continuous improvement across outage planning, asset access and switching activities.
