Job summary

BDO is seeking a Senior Manager in Business Development for its Sydney Practice to shape and support growth across the Business Services offerings. You will work closely with Partners and subject matter experts to drive market-ready opportunities and build strong client and referral networks.

You will lead initiatives to raise profile, develop strategies across local and national markets, and guide teams to convert opportunities into measurable revenue growth.

Qualifications

• Significant business development experience in professional services, consulting or accounting.
• Proven ability to develop and execute BD plans to take service propositions to market.
• Exceptional relationship-building across a wide range of stakeholders.
• Experience building strategic referral networks and partnerships.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a willingness to challenge traditional approaches.

Responsibilities

• Work with Partner subject matter experts to translate service propositions into market plans and opportunities.
• Build relationships with clients and internal teams to identify opportunities and convert them into revenue.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders to prioritise referrals and deepen partnerships for sustainable growth.
• Lead networking, profile-raising and market-facing activities to maximise outcomes.
• Coach Partners on market segmentation, opportunity development and client engagement.
