Job summary

CHU in Victoria, Australia, is seeking a Senior Loss Adjuster to manage a portfolio of large personal and commercial loss claims, collaborating with specialists to drive timely settlements.

Applicants should have 5+ years in property claims handling (including strata) or loss adjusting, strong knowledge of construction, and excellent communication and negotiation skills. A hybrid work model, travel readiness, and professional development support are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience handling large personal and commercial loss claims up to $500K.
• In-depth knowledge of property and construction; ability to conduct thorough site inspections.
• Experience scoping and estimating large loss exposures.
• Ability to prepare clear, concise reports and progress claims.
• Ability to coordinate with lead adjusters/managers on complex files.
• Proven negotiation skills with insureds within authority limits.
• Coaching and mentoring to develop team skills.
