Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience coordinating heavy haulage, specialised transport or oversized machinery movements.
• Experience within mining, resources, civil construction or heavy equipment sectors.
• Strong understanding of heavy haulage permits, approvals and transport compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate national heavy haulage movements of mining machinery and equipment to various mine sites.
• Plan and schedule transport requirements to meet operational deadlines and site mobilisation requirements.
• Manage the application and coordination of permits, approvals and relevant transport documentation.
• Work closely with an established panel of heavy haulage suppliers to secure transport capacity and competitive rates.
• Monitor transport schedules and proactively resolve logistical challenges to minimise delays and disruption.
• Manage supplier performance, costs and service delivery to ensure movements are completed on time and within budget.
• Maintain effective communication with internal stakeholders, transport providers and mine site personnel.
• Ensure all transport activities comply with relevant regulations, permit conditions and site requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve transport planning, supplier performance and overall logistics efficiency.

Myndshift Group is partnering with an ASX-listed mining company to recruit an experienced Senior Logistics Specialist – Heavy Haulage to join their team based near Perth Airport.

This is an excellent opportunity for a logistics professional with a strong heavy haulage background to coordinate the national movement of mining machinery and equipment to various mine sites across Australia.

Offered initially on a contract-to-permanent basis, this Monday-to-Friday role will see you take ownership of heavy haulage logistics, coordinating transport providers, managing permits and approvals, and ensuring equipment movements are delivered safely, efficiently, on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate national heavy haulage movements of mining machinery and equipment to various mine sites.

About You:

• Proven experience managing transport suppliers, subcontractors and freight service providers.
• Strong planning, coordination and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Commercial acumen, including the ability to manage transport costs and deliver value for money.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• A proactive, organised approach with a strong focus on service delivery and operational outcomes.
