Job summary
UNSW Canberra is seeking a Senior Lecturer or Associate Professor in Stratospheric Physics to join the School of Science. The role includes serving as Station Director of the Balloon Launching Station in Alice Springs, NT, coordinating with CSIRO, NASA and other space agencies.
It combines research and teaching responsibilities with curriculum development and a strong research portfolio. The position leads publications, supervision of students, securing funding and building collaborations for
Qualifications
- PhD or equivalent professional experience in a relevant discipline.
- Expertise in atmospheric physics, electronics and/or stratospheric ballooning.
- Commitment to up-to-date disciplinary knowledge and developments.
- Ability to contribute to teaching and research activities.
- Experience managing large-scale projects, including contracts and budgets.
Responsibilities
- Lead research and teaching in stratospheric physics and related areas.
- Develop and deliver curriculum within the School of Science.
- Publish research findings and supervise students.
- Secure research funding and foster international collaborations.
