UNSW Kensington Campus is seeking a Senior Learning Designer to lead the university's LMS transformation and shape curriculum renewal, assessment and digital learning. The role sits at the intersection of academic practice and educational design, building relationships with academic staff to enable high‑quality curriculum aligned with UNSW’s strategy.

You will work across divisions to provide expert guidance on curriculum, Universal Design for Learning, assessment and digital platforms,

Qualifikationen

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in education, learning design or a related field, or an equivalent combination.
• Experience supporting academic staff in higher education, in assessment, curriculum design or digital learning.
• Working knowledge of learning technologies used in assessment (Moodle, Turnitin, Inspera or similar).
• Understanding of contemporary assessment principles and effective feedback practices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration across academic teams.
• Experience designing and facilitating professional development workshops (face-to-face, hybrid, online).
• Demonstrated organisational and project management skills with deadlines and governance reporting.
• Proactive, student-centered approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
• Competency with Microsoft 365 and online platforms; commitment to equity and inclusion.
• Understanding of UNSW values and health and safety responsibilities.

Aufgaben

• Collaborate with University staff to design enterprise LMS solutions and improve the learning experience.
• Build influential relationships with academic and professional stakeholders to support curriculum renewal.
• Research pedagogical innovations and evaluate emerging educational design approaches and learning technologies.
• Manage LMS initiatives in an Agile environment from concept to operation with governance and timeframes.
• Act as deputy project lead when required and coordinate delivery across the LMS transformation lifecycle.
• Contribute to UNSW's Progress for All strategy through service, systems and protocol enhancements.
• Prepare reports and recommendations in line with governance for LMS initiatives.
• Provide leadership and advice on technology-enabled learning practices across UNSW.
• Maintain knowledge of digital assessment platforms and translate into practice improvement.
• Provide responsive, student-centered support to staff and students within agreed service levels.
