Job summary

Western Power is seeking a Head of Major Works in Perth CBD to lead delivery of major transmission projects, including the Clean Energy Link, and to steer capital programs with safety, quality and stakeholder engagement at the forefront.

Responsibilities

• Lead the safe, reliable and efficient delivery of major transmission and customer-driven construction works, with a key focus on the delivery of Clean Energy Link
• Drive delivery against safety, scope, schedule and budget outcomes, while continuously improving how work is planned and delivered
• Provide strong governance and leadership across complex capital programs, ensuring effective project controls, performance monitoring and clear reporting of project status and risk
• Lead commercial and delivery performance across a delivery model incorporating internal specialists, contractors and external delivery partners
• Bring together technical expertise, resources and stakeholders across multiple functions to resolve issues, manage dependencies and maintain delivery momentum
• Build and maintain trusted relationships across Western Power, government, industry, customers and delivery partners
• Lead and develop a substantial workforce, building capability while creating an environment of accountability, collaboration, respect and sustainable performance
