Job summary

Western Power is seeking an experienced and influential leader to establish and head a Work Practices Team to strengthen governance, safety and efficiency of prescribed activities across the network lifecycle.

You will lead a multidisciplinary group across Operations, Safety and Technical functions, deliver the Work Practices Program roadmap, manage budget and reporting, and ensure frontline requirements translate legislative and safety needs into practical guidance.

Qualifications

• Qualification in safety, engineering, project management or related discipline.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams in complex, high-risk environments.
• Experience developing or governing operational work practices and safe systems of work.

Responsibilities

• Lead Work Practices Team: set objectives, manage performance, build capability.
• Develop and maintain Work Practices Program roadmap, budget and reporting.
• Deliver Work Practices Program scope within schedule, budget and quality.
• Map prescribed activities to training, competency, authorisation and verification.
