Job summary

Western Power in Western Australia is seeking a senior executive to lead the asset management and engineering agenda for its electricity network. You will oversee the real-time operation, security and resilience of transmission and distribution assets while guiding a multi-billion-dollar investment program.

Qualifications

• Senior leadership experience in asset-intensive operations.
• Proven track record delivering major capital projects and regulatory accountability.
• Strong understanding of electricity networks and energy transition.

Responsibilities

• Lead asset management strategy across transmission and distribution networks.
• Provide engineering leadership, standards and frameworks for capital investments.
• Oversee a >$1B annual works program and prioritise investment for value.
• Develop asset performance frameworks for lifecycle, reliability, risk and cost.
• Manage system and network security risks amid rising renewable generation.
• Develop network plans aligned with decarbonisation goals and community needs.
• Ensure safe, reliable operation of the electricity network and real-time monitoring.
• Lead engagement with government, regulators and industry partners.
