Diligent Group Australia is seeking a Senior Structural Steel Estimator in Brisbane/ Ipswich. You will own the tendering process, interpret drawings, and deliver competitive, first-principles estimates to win projects.
Join a Queensland-based fabricator, work directly with Directors, and enjoy immediate start with visa transfer support and relocation assistance.
Experience in cost analysis, strong Excel skills, and a commercial mindset are essential to succeed in this role.
Competenze
- Extensive structural steel fabrication estimating experience.
- Strong first-principles estimating skills with Excel.
- Ability to calculate labour hours and costs.
- Experience managing tenders from enquiry to award.

- Independently manage estimating and tendering from enquiry to award.
- Interpret drawings, specs, and project requirements.
- Prepare detailed estimates from first principles (labour, materials, costs).
- Develop estimates using Excel and calculations.
- Assess supplier and subcontractor quotations.
- Identify risks, gaps, exclusions, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Prepare tender submissions and commercial proposals.
- Present and negotiate tenders to win contracts.
- Build client relationships to secure new projects.
