Eastern States Engineering is seeking a Senior Production Estimator with Tekla experience to lead the estimating function for structural steel and modular projects at our Rocklea facility in Brisbane.

You will manage tenders from initial enquiry through pricing, submission and handover, while mentoring estimators and collaborating with Sales, Engineering, Drafting, Production, Procurement and Finance to protect margins and ensure successful project delivery.

Competenze

• Trade qualification in Engineering, Fabrication, Construction or a related discipline.
• Engineering, Construction Management or Quantity Surveying qualifications would be advantageous.
• Strong ability to interpret structural drawings, specifications and contractual documentation.

Mansioni

• Lead and manage the estimating process for major, complex and high-value structural steel and modular building projects.
• Coordinate all aspects of major tenders, including scope reviews, quantity take-offs, material requirements and related costs.
• Review tender documentation for gaps, risks and commercial implications; manage tender milestones and deadlines.
• Provide hands‑on estimating support for major projects and establish consistent estimating standards.
• Develop and manage competitive pricing strategies to protect margins and commercial returns.
• Lead supplier and subcontractor engagement to obtain pricing and ensure accuracy.
• Prepare structured handovers of awarded projects to Project Management, Engineering and Production teams.
• Monitor tender pipeline, submission performance and reviewestimate accuracy and margins.
