Job summary

Westpac is seeking a Senior Developer to help shape the technical direction of our Mesh Connect Marketplace and mentor junior engineers. You will build high‑quality software, tooling, and libraries while improving build processes and collaboration across teams.

The role focuses on delivering robust APIs and microservices in Java, with Node.js or Python desirable, and requires strong SDLC understanding, automation, and cloud experience (Azure/AWS).

Qualifications

• 5–10+ years of programming experience required.
• Strong API and microservice development experience in Java; Node.js or Python desirable.
• Experience with JSON and data formats, Git and CI/CD, and cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality software and improve build processes and tooling.
• Mentor junior developers and shape technical direction of products.
• Collaborate across teams, remove impediments, and foster a strong developer community.
