Job summary

ASX Limited is seeking a hands-on Java engineer to join the Customer & Digital engineering team. You will design and develop microservice-based solutions, contribute to API modelling, and help deliver a cloud-based platform using a modern tech stack.

The role requires 3–5 years in Java with Spring Boot, JPA, messaging, GraphQL, and React familiarity, plus CI/CD and cloud experience. You will collaborate across teams to ensure secure, maintainable code and contribute to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years as a Java engineer, preferably in a digital/engineering team.
• Experience with microservices, API modelling and versioning.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD tooling and DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (GCP/AWS) and security concepts (IAM).

Responsibilities

• Design and develop software solutions within the digital engineering team.
• Develop operational and support tools and documentation for maintenance.
• Contribute to code health via reviews and best practices.
• Apply agile and hybrid delivery methods to deliver value.
• Define technical options with architects and solution engineers.
• Share design skills across the organisation.
