Job summary

Showtime Consulting in Australia seeks an experienced Senior Developer to design, build, and support scalable cloud-native applications, APIs, and distributed microservices using Java 21 and AWS. Qualifications

• Strong hands-on development experience with Java 21.
• Extensive experience with Spring Boot or Micronaut frameworks.
• Deep understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems.
• Proven experience designing, developing, and integrating RESTful APIs.
• Experience with TM Forum Open API standards is essential.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services including ECS Fargate, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, CloudFront, and DynamoDB.
• Proficient in APIGEE API Management.
• Experience building and deploying containerised apps using Docker.
• Experience with GitHub Actions for CI/CD.
• Experience with Splunk for monitoring and log analysis.
• Strong knowledge of design patterns, secure coding, and performance tuning.
• Experience mentoring developers and contributing to technical leadership.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices using Java 21.
• Develop and enhance APIs aligned with TM Forum Open API standards.
• Design scalable, secure, resilient backend solutions.
• Build, deploy, and support cloud-native apps across AWS environments.
• Develop microservices with Spring Boot, Micronaut, and modern Java frameworks.
• Build and manage API integrations using APIGEE and AWS API Gateway.
• Implement API authentication, authorization, security, and performance tuning.
• Develop containerised applications using Docker.
• Deploy and support workloads using AWS ECS Fargate, Lambda, and related services.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
• Monitor app performance and analyze logs with Splunk.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across apps, APIs, integrations, and cloud platforms.
• Collaborate with architects, product owners, and cross-functional teams.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and solution planning.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to engineering capability.
• Adhere to coding standards, security requirements, and best practices.
