Job summary

Westpac Group in Sydney seeks a Cloud DevOps Engineer to design, build and operate secure AWS solutions across a range of projects, including AI workloads. You will contribute to automation, technical discovery, and pattern uplift while coordinating with customer and platform product teams.

This hands-on, fast-paced role emphasizes security, production readiness, and compliant delivery. The position focuses on cloud-native AWS services, IaC with Terraform, and CI/CD using Jenkins and GitHub

Qualifications

• Hands-on with AWS cloud-native services (VPC, IAM, EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, CloudWatch, KMS).
• Proficiency in IaC (Terraform) and CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
• Security-focused with production readiness, RBAC, encryption, monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate secure AWS solutions across projects including AI workloads.
• Lead automation, tooling, and documentation; drive pattern uplift and feature requests.
• Engage with customer teams and platform product teams to enable secure cloud adoption.
