Job summary

Nasdaq in Sydney seeks a Senior Java Developer to own end-to-end technical challenges from requirements to production-ready solutions. You will work across backend systems, security, and cross-platform development, contributing to both new builds and evolution of existing products.

You should be self-directed, curious, and energized by solving complex problems with global impact. This role is hybrid (2 days in-office) in Sydney and offers permanent, full-time employment with full working rights

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering or equivalent
• 3+ years hands-on Java development with strong CS fundamentals
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases
• CI/CD experience; secure, testable, maintainable code
• Experience with cross-platform or multi-environment development

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy software that meets requirements
• Build security-focused applications of increasing scope
• Extend and improve existing systems with new functionality and performance
• Ensure cross-platform compatibility across deliverables
• Monitor improvements post-deployment and iterate on performance
• Contribute to architecture, database design, and technical direction
