Job summary

EHW Technology in Mackay, QLD, is seeking an experienced Senior IT Service Engineer / Systems Administrator to design, implement, support, and improve client environments across servers, networks, and cloud platforms.

You will lead projects, mentor junior technicians, manage escalations, and ensure secure, resilient infrastructure while engaging with business owners and stakeholders locally. This is a hands-on, on-site role in Mackay.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a senior IT role such as Systems Administrator or Infrastructure Engineer.
• Proven experience managing Windows Server environments.
• Strong Microsoft 365, Azure, Exchange and Intune administration skills.
• Advanced networking knowledge including VLANs and routing.
• Experience designing, deploying and maintaining critical infra solutions.
• Good cybersecurity, backup/recovery and resilience practices.
• Project management experience and ability to lead migrations and deployments.
• Excellent troubleshooting and client relationship skills.
• Ability to mentor juniors and work with business stakeholders.
• Valid Australian driver’s licence and full working rights in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and support complex client environments across servers, networks and cloud platforms.
• Lead technical projects and coordinate migrations, upgrades and deployments.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting, escalation support and documentation.
