Job summary

Scyne Advisory Pty is seeking an experienced Internal Audit professional to lead engagements for public sector clients, focusing on governance, risk and control improvements. This role involves developing audit plans, coordinating multiple client teams, and delivering high-quality assurance reports.

You will work with a national team and mentor junior colleagues while building strong client relationships and providing strategic guidance on risk management and internal controls.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated internal audit and risk experience, leading audits or programs.
• Knowledge of internal control frameworks, risk assessments and audit methodologies.
• Ability to lead engagements with strong project management and client coordination.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for audit and assurance reports.
• Continuous learning mindset with awareness of industry trends and innovations.

Responsibilities

• Lead internal audit engagements for public sector clients.
• Develop strategic internal audit plans and perform fieldwork.
• Coordinate multiple client engagement teams within RPC.
• Mentor junior team members and foster collaborative environment.
• Build strong client relationships and identify process improvements.
• Deliver high-quality outcomes through hands-on delivery and leadership.
• Present to senior stakeholders and contribute to service offerings.
