Scyne Advisory is seeking an experienced Internal Audit Manager to lead engagements for public sector clients in Australia. You will drive risk-based assurance, governance improvements and stakeholder reporting from Perth, while mentoring junior staff and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

You will promote our values, manage complex programs and contribute to business development, with a focus on integrity, ethics and high-quality output.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of internal audit and risk experience, preferably with public sector or professional services
• CIA or similar qualifications preferred
• Proven ability to manage and deliver internal audit projects and programs to a high-quality
• Proven ability to build effective relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
• Excellent attention to detail and working knowledge of internal audit methodologies
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, including reporting to partners and clients
• Continuous learning mindset and staying informed of trends, risks and developments

Responsibilities

• Living and promoting organisational values and building a strong team culture

• Managing the delivery of internal audit engagements and programs across multiple clients
• Leading internal audit engagement teams and ensuring high-quality audits
• Developing external relationships with client stakeholders, including management and audit committees
• Developing internal relationships across the national internal audit practice and with cross-functional experts
• Providing expertise on risk management, governance, business processes, controls and compliance
• Developing junior team members through on-the-job training
• Supporting business development through RFT responses and thought-leadership material
