Scyne Advisory is seeking an experienced internal audit professional to lead engagements across public sector clients, focusing on governance, risk and compliance. You will develop strategic audit plans, perform fieldwork, and mentor junior staff while coordinating with multiple client teams.

The role requires strong project management, stakeholder communication, and a proactive approach to improving controls and processes within a dynamic national practice.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated internal audit and risk experience, leading engagements or programs.
• Experience serving the public sector or professional services is preferred.
• Knowledge of internal control frameworks, risk assessments and methodologies.
• Ability to lead engagements with strong project management and client coordination.
• Strong written and verbal communication for reports to senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Leading and conducting internal audit engagements with public purpose clients.
• Developing strategic internal audit plans and performing fieldwork.
• Coordinating across multiple client engagement teams within the practice.
• Mentoring junior team members and guiding governance, risk and compliance work.
• Building client relationships and identifying opportunities to mitigate risks.
• Delivering high quality outcomes through hands-on delivery and leadership.
• Reporting and presenting to senior business stakeholders.
