Scyne Advisory Pty is seeking an experienced Internal Audit professional in Adelaide to lead engagements for public purpose clients, addressing operational, strategic, compliance and financial risks.

The role focuses on developing audit plans, performing fieldwork, coaching junior staff, and delivering high‑quality assurance across governance, risk and compliance disciplines for diverse government and not-for-profit clients.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated internal audit and risk experience, leading the delivery of internal audit engagements or programs, preferably with experience in serving the public sector or in a professional services environment.
• Knowledge and understanding of internal control frameworks, risk assessments, risk management and internal audit methodologies.
• Ability to Lead and Manage: you can lead internal audit engagements, including having strong project management skills and the ability to coordinate with client teams and other stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Leading and conducting internal audit engagements, working with public purpose clients, addressing operational, strategic, compliance and financial risks.
• Developing strategic internal audit plans, leading or performing the fieldwork including internal controls testing and preparing reports.
• Being responsible for working on multiple client engagement teams within the practice.
• Being part of a larger national team as well as a dynamic local team, specialising in internal audit as well as governance, risk and compliance.
