Job summary

JLL is seeking a Senior Interior Designer in Sydney to shape environments that align with client objectives and budget. You will lead complex projects, mentor junior designers, and collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to deliver integrated interior solutions.

The role emphasizes high‑quality documentation, stakeholder communication, and adherence to codes while advancing sustainable, people‑focused design within a dynamic studio environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture from an accredited institution.
• 7–10 years of progressive interior design experience with project leadership on complex, multi‑phase projects.
• Proficiency in Revit for 3D modeling and construction documentation.
• Strong presentation skills and ability to communicate with senior stakeholders.
• Solid knowledge of building codes, accessibility standards, and NCC requirements.
• Portfolio demonstrating range of project types and design problem solving.
• Professional registration or certification (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Lead interior design projects from concept to construction administration, within budget and timelines.
• Develop innovative design concepts that meet client requirements and site constraints.
• Prepare mood boards, space plans, 3D visuals, and design narratives for clients.
• Produce detailed construction documentation using Revit with drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors for integrated interior systems.
• Oversee FF&E selection, procurement, and installation with vendor management.
• Mentor junior designers and support team development.
• Conduct site assessments, document conditions, attend construction meetings, and respond to field questions.
