Job summary

DKO, a celebrated multidisciplinary design practice, seeks a Senior Interior Designer for our Surry Hills studio. You will lead design directions, develop concepts, and manage documentation while coordinating with PMs and external consultants.

Mentor teammates and present confidently to clients to guide the design process. You’ll visualize ideas using Archicad, Photoshop, SketchUp, and other media, contributing to award-winning projects across Australia and nurturing high-quality, thoughtful

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level or higher in Interior Design or Interior Architecture or equivalent.
• 5–8 years of interior design experience.
• Proficiency with CAD software for documentation and drawings.
• Strong communication skills for client-facing presentations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design direction for a range of projects.
• Develop design concepts, space planning, and material selections.
• Prepare construction documentation packages.
• Coordinate with project managers and external consultants.
• Present concepts to clients and guide design decisions.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to team growth.
• Visualise concepts in Archicad, Photoshop, SketchUp, or similar tools.
• Prepare presentations for clients and consultants.
• Lead coordination meetings with clients and consultants.
• Pursue innovation and originality in design.
