Job summary

Alzheimer's Association of Queensland – Upper Mount Gravatt QLD is seeking an experienced interior designer to lead project work across a portfolio, from briefing to site delivery. You will collaborate with designers, architects, and external consultants to deliver thoughtful, functional spaces aligned with aged care needs.

Based at our Upper Mt Gravatt head office with regular travel to sites across Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Ipswich, Toowoomba and NSW, this on-site role requires a hands-on

Qualifications

• 8+ years’ experience in a design studio environment with commercial and residential projects.
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Strong understanding of the Building Code of Australia (BCA) and relevant standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and design capability.
• Strong organisational, time management and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Current National Police Check and Australian driver's licence.
• Aged Care experience would be advantageous, but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage projects end-to-end from briefing through to completion.
• Prepare 2D drawings, 3D models, and detailed design documentation.
• Coordinate furniture, artwork, and decorative selections.
• Manage supplier relationships and oversee procurement processes.
• Lead FF&E selection, coordination, and ordering.
• Oversee project timelines, budgets, and logistics.
• Travel to project sites as required.
• Mentoring junior designers in the studio.
