Job summary

AQ Design is seeking a Senior Interior Designer for a 12-month contract, based at our Brisbane head office. You will lead projects across multiple sites from concept through to completion, collaborating with designers, architects and external consultants to deliver thoughtful, high-quality spaces.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design and 8+ years’ experience in design studios, with strong Revit/AutoCAD/SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or equivalent is essential.
• Minimum 8 years’ experience leading design projects in a studio environment (commercial and residential).
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage projects end-to-end from briefing to completion.
• Prepare 2D drawings, 3D models and detailed design documentation.
• Produce construction documentation including finishes schedules.
• Coordinate furniture, artwork and decorative selections.
• Manage supplier relationships and procurement processes.
• Lead FF&E selection and ordering.
• Oversee project timelines, budgets and logistics.
• Travel to project sites as required; mentor junior designers.
