Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years' experience in claims management or similar supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of insurance claims processes and regulatory compliance.
• Proven leadership experience and ability to develop staff.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication with diverse stakeholders.
• Proficiency in claims software and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the insurance claims team and ensure timely processing of claims.
• Develop and implement claims handling procedures compliant with regulations.
• Monitor performance metrics and report to senior management.
• Mentor and supervise staff with coaching and development.
• Review complex/high-value claims and make approval/denial decisions.
• Manage stakeholder relationships with policyholders, third parties and providers.
• Identify process improvements and cost efficiencies in the claims function.
• Ensure compliance with legislation, regulations and company policies.
• Investigate disputes and manage appeals per procedures and guidelines.
• Maintain accurate records for all claims.
