Job summary

The Living Company in Sydney is seeking a Group Insurance Manager to lead all insurance placement across the portfolio, including general insurance and workers’ compensation. This on-site, full-time role collaborates with Treasury, resident engagement teams, and governance bodies, ensuring effective risk management and compliant coverage.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in insurance, business, risk, accounting, finance or a related discipline.
• Minimum 7 years' experience in insurance management or broking within corporate settings.
• Proven track record managing group insurance programmes across multi-entity portfolios.
• Experience with end-to-end claims management and working with brokers and insurers.
• Strong cost management and premium allocation understanding.
• Professional certification in insurance (ANZIIF) or equivalent is valued.

Responsibilities

• Own the annual renewal process for general insurance and workers’ compensation.
• Manage brokerage arrangements and advise on insurance aspects of acquisitions and developments.
• Oversee premium funding and allocation across funds, managers and sites.
• Lead end-to-end general insurance claims with loss adjusters and site visits.
• Lead the property valuation and business interruption programme and mitigate underinsurance.
• Engage residents and committees and report to governance bodies.
