Job summary

Turner & Townsend in Sydney is seeking a Senior Project Manager - Development to strengthen our Infrastructure team. You will oversee project development, stakeholder coordination, procurement, approvals, contract and construction management, risk control, quality, cost and schedule across diverse disciplines.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years’ experience.
• Experience working in building construction ideal.
• Awareness of Australian building standards / codes.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects at various stages of delivery from design through to project close-out.
• Demonstrated experience managing multi-functional projects both financially and leading a team of project managers.
• Experience working in a dynamic, fast-paced customer centric organisation.
• Experience in the development and delivery of projects in existing operational environments.
• Experience across a broad spectrum of disciplines (one or multiple): Aviation, Water, Transport, Energy (Transmission and Renewable), Civil infrastructure (earthworks and utilities).

Responsibilities

• Project development – identifying scope of works / project requirements based on client needs including business case development and securing project funding.
• Stakeholder coordination – identification of stakeholders, liaison with all parties to capture all relevant issues, inputs and restrictions that may affect project outcomes.
• Procurement Coordination - including contract drafting, tender preparations and management, bid analysis and contract awards for consultants and contractors.
• Approvals & Planning – Working with the wider project team to obtain the necessary approvals.
• Contract Management - Ensuring compliance with contract terms in delivery of the works for consultants and contractors, processing of payments, managing change.
• Construction management – Control of the construction site management for the safe and compliant delivery of works in conjunction with consultants and safety advisors.
• Risk and issues management – Ensuring early identification of project risks and applying carefully considered mitigations to minimise occurrence of issues.
• Quality management – Through coordination of all parties to ensure adherence to expected quality for both the design and construction of the project.
• Cost and time management – Planning & forecasting project spend and delivery milestones.
