Job summary

Western Sydney University is seeking a Senior Solution Architect for Identity & Access Management (IDAM) to shape secure, scalable identity solutions across a large enterprise. You will lead architecture across IDAM platforms such as Entra ID, Okta, Saviynt and PAM, while also guiding Azure infrastructure work and cloud connectivity.

The role emphasizes security-by-design and long-term governance, with a fixed-term contract and senior leadership responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline, or equivalent extensive experience.
• Senior Solution Architect/Identity Architect with experience in complex enterprise environments.
• Strong hands-on expertise across Identity and Access Management, including authentication, authorisation, federation, provisioning and lifecycle management, IGA and PAM.

Responsibilities

• Lead solution architecture across identity and access management, with a secondary focus on Azure infrastructure and networking.
• Develop target-state architectures and implementation roadmaps aligned to enterprise strategy.
• Balance security, usability, cost and delivery priorities in architectural decisions.
• Influence stakeholders and delivery teams to achieve sustainable architectural outcomes.
• Embed Zero Trust and secure-by-design principles across identity and cloud architectures.
