Job summary

Western Sydney University is seeking a Senior Solution Architect for Identity & Access Management (IDAM) to drive architectural leadership across IAM platforms and Azure infrastructure. The role focuses on secure, scalable identity solutions within a large, interconnected enterprise.

You will steer architecture across Microsoft Entra ID, Okta SSO/MFA, Saviynt IGA and CyberArk PAM, balancing security, usability and cost, while guiding delivery teams from design through to implementation.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline, or equivalent extensive experience.
• Strong hands-on architectural expertise across Identity and Access Management including authentication, authorization, federation, provisioning and lifecycle management, IGA and PAM.
• Experience leading solution architecture in a complex enterprise setting with cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead solution architecture across IAM and Azure infrastructure, directing design and roadmaps.
• Develop target-state architectures and implementation roadmaps aligned to enterprise strategy.
• Embed Zero Trust and secure-by-design principles into identity and cloud architecture.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture, Cloud, Security and Solution Architects to deliver cohesive outcomes.
• Translate complex requirements into practical designs and evidence-based recommendations.
