Job summary

XPT Software Australia Pty Ltd in Sydney seeks a Senior IBM ODM & BAW Developer to design, develop and implement business workflows and decision services. You will collaborate with business analysts, architects and delivery teams to automate processes and ensure end-to-end solution delivery.

The role requires deep expertise in IBM BAW and ODM, integration patterns, and experience in Agile environments. You will contribute to DevOps practices and CI/CD, and mentor junior teammates during projects.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, configure, and deploy business process workflows using IBM BAW
• Develop process applications, services, coaches, integrations, and user interfaces
• Configure workflow orchestration, task management, escalations, notifications and events
• Integrate BAW with internal/external systems via APIs, web services and messaging frameworks
• Troubleshoot and resolve workflow performance, deployment and integration issues
• Design, develop and maintain business rules and decision services using ODM
• Translate policies into executable business rules and manage rule sets
• Support versioning, testing, deployment and ongoing maintenance of business rules
• Collaborate with stakeholders to validate decision logic and rule outcomes
• Participate in requirements workshops and technical design sessions
• Produce technical specifications, solution designs and implementation documentation
• Support SIT, UAT and production deployments; perform code reviews and ensure standards
• Contribute to DevOps, CI/CD and release management activities
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior developers
