Job summary

Brunel is seeking a Senior Identity and Access Management Engineer for a 12‑month contract in Australia. You will lead design, implementation and optimisation of enterprise IAM solutions, focusing on Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory and identity governance across hybrid environments.

You will own complex IAM projects, automate using PowerShell and REST APIs, and collaborate with cyber security stakeholders to deliver secure and reliable identity services.

Qualifications

• 8+ years' IAM, identity architecture or security engineering experience.
• Hands-on Microsoft Entra ID and Active Directory expertise.
• Experience with hybrid identity and Conditional Access.
• Proven ability to deliver complex IAM projects.
• Automation skills with PowerShell and REST APIs.

Responsibilities

• Design, engineer and improve enterprise Identity and Access Management solutions.
• Deliver IAM engineering projects and resolve complex identity-related issues.
• Support and enhance Microsoft Entra ID and Active Directory, including hybrid identity environments.
• Engineer and maintain Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) solutions, preferably Saviynt.
• Support Privileged Access Management (PAM) platforms and access security controls.
• Manage authentication, federation, Conditional Access and identity integrations.
• Develop automation using PowerShell, REST APIs and related technologies.
• Investigate recurring identity issues and implement long‑term technical improvements.
• Work with business and cyber security stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Improve platform reliability through automation, standardisation and engineering best practices.
• Manage multiple technical priorities and deliver projects with minimal supervision.
• Maintain technical documentation and support knowledge transfer across the IAM team.
