Job summary

KBR is seeking an Associate Security Engineer to join the Identity Security Services team in Australia. The role focuses on administering Entra ID, Active Directory, and hybrid identity, while strengthening authentication, authorization, and governance across enterprise environments.

You will work on identity-related projects, cloud deployments, automation, and reporting, leveraging PowerShell and related technologies, with a strong emphasis on security practices and incident response.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field with strong cybersecurity fundamentals.
• Minimum 2+ years in information technology, cybersecurity, identity administration, or related field.
• Australian citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, hybrid identity, directory services, and identity synchronization.
• Manage identities, access, authentication, authorization, privileged access, and identity governance for users, groups, devices, applications, and service accounts.
• Troubleshoot identity and access issues, perform root cause analysis, and support incident response and security monitoring.
• Support enterprise application integrations, federation services, and modern authentication technologies (SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect, SCIM, MFA).
• Monitor identity security, directory health, PKI, certificate management, and governance compliance.
• Participate in identity-related projects, cloud deployments, automation, and runbooks using PowerShell and related tools.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and procedures; collaborate with stakeholders to improve security and operations.
