CGC Recruitment is seeking an experienced Senior or Principal Mechanical Engineer to join our Perth team. The role offers leadership, commercial responsibility and the opportunity to lead a mechanical engineering team as the business grows.

You will shape project delivery from concept to construction, mentor engineers and build strong client relationships while developing business opportunities in the Australian market.

Qualifications

• 8+ years' experience within mechanical building services/HVAC engineering.
• Experience within an Australian building services consultancy environment.
• Strong technical knowledge across mechanical building services.
• The ability to manage projects and communicate confidently with clients.
• Experience mentoring or supporting junior engineers.
• Commercial awareness and an interest in developing client relationships.
• Genuine ambition to move into team and discipline leadership.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership across mechanical building services projects.
• Support, mentor and lead a team of engineers.
• Review designs and ensure high standards of technical delivery.
• Manage projects from concept and design through to construction.
• Build strong relationships with existing clients.
• Develop business through opportunities and work-winning.
• Identify opportunities to grow key client accounts and secure new projects.
• Support resource planning, project allocation and team development.
• Collaborate with the Mechanical Lead on growth of the discipline.
